Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) has decided to impose a suspension on operations of Oman United Exchange from 7, 2021, until further notice.

The company was found to be non-compliant with the regulation related to two professions - money changing and the issue of drafts as per the directions issued by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO).

The supervisory action was as per the powers vested with CBO under the Banking Law 114/2000.

The Central Bank of Oman has directed Oman United Exchange to swiftly settle the outstanding remittances and all other dues.
