MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry, organized the fourth meeting with the ambassadors and heads of the diplomatic missions accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting aims to introduce incentives and investment opportunities available in Oman in various targeted sectors, as well as attracting foreign capital.
Shaikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, said the meeting provides an opportunity to present the facilities and incentives provided by the Sultanate of Oman, besides reviewing views of foreign ambassadors in the Sultanate of Oman which help in attracting the foreign capitals.
Asilah Salem al Samsami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, pointed out to the vital role the diplomatic missions can play in attracting major investors to invest in Oman and promote the Omani products in the international markets.
During the meeting, a film was screened on the Omani tourism strategy presented by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. In addition, several presentations were given by various government institutions.
The meeting included a panel discussion with the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions on the investment environment in the Sultanate of Oman. -- ONA
