Muscat: The cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be expanded in various sectors, including marine transport.

The Omani-Saudi joint team is working on a number of initiatives in the field of roads, to exchange experiences and transfer knowledge between the two sides in the field of road maintenance and implementation, and to encourage contractors/investors to implement road projects in the two countries.

Shipping

The two sides are working on a project to sign an agreement between the maritime authorities to study investment opportunities in the field of maritime transport, especially in building and maintaining ships and yachts on both sides, coastal shipping lines, and sea taxis.

An agreement will be signed for mutual recognition of maritime certificates to enable seafarers to work onboard ships from both sides.
