

Muscat: An emphatic performance in the final group game helped the Sultanate of Oman join Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates as the latest teams to reach the quarter-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup.
A 3-0 victory over Bahrain saw Sultanate of Oman move from third to second on the final day of Group A - one point ahead of Iraq, who were beaten comfortably by group leaders Qatar.
Al Munther al Alawi broke the deadlock in the 41st-minute Arshad al Alawi, nine minutes later, scored the second.
Khalid al Hajri soon made sure of it with his side's third goal 30 minutes from full-time.
