MUSCAT: A new batch of general education diploma (GED) holders has joined the Institute of Police Recruits at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences after passing evaluation tests, interviews and medical fitness examinations, to join the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The fundamental training programme for the new police affiliates includes military training as well as knowledge and sciences, law and police sciences and mental and physical training that enables them to perform their police duties and tasks.
