Muscat: Oman’s number one racing driver Ahmad Al Harthy announced a new and exciting partnership with MHD ITICS – the Infrastructure, Technology, Industrial and Consumer solutions cluster of Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC – until at least the end of 2022.

Confirmed this morning during a prestigious event at the Al Bustan Palace Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Muscat, leading sportsman Al Harthy was joined by MHD ITICS chairperson, the honourable Lujaina Mohsin Haider Darwish, and senior members of the MHD ITICS management structure.

The brand new partnership between Al Harthy and MHD ITICS is an incredibly exciting development for Oman Racing, as the Sultanate’s premier racing driver begins to put in place his plans for the remainder of the year and also his 2022 motorsport season.

Al Harthy, who has been proudly flying the flag for Oman this year across a variety of motor racing championships including the Asian Le Mans Series, the Intelligent Money British GT Championship, ‘Road to Le Mans’ and the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup, is elated to be partnering with MHD ITICS and excited by the opportunities which lay ahead.

Ahmad Al Harthy:

"I'm delighted to be welcoming MHD ITICS to our portfolio of partners, over the past several decades MHD ITICS has actively contributed to the economy of our nation. It is, indeed, a great pleasure to have a company of its stature on board as an important strategic partner of the Oman Racing team and this partnership has only increased the stability of the team."

“This means a lot to me, plus the concept the company has of supporting sports individuals such as myself – it is a great honour to have their support. Our new partnership encourages us to continue what we are doing at the highest level we can in motorsport, seeing the Oman flag flying proudly wherever we race around the world.”

Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Haider Darwish – Chairperson of Infrastructure, Technology, Industrial and Consumer Solutions (ITICS) at Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC:

“We have always been proud to associate ourselves with, and stand behind, exemplary Omani talent like Ahmad Al Harthy, who has brought pride to Oman on the racing circuit. MHD ITICS is extremely happy to support him in the upcoming 2022 racing season."

“Moreover, through our partnership with Ahmad and Oman Racing, we will be able to raise awareness and exposure internationally of MHD ITICS and our brand values, given the team’s present status on the circuit."

“At the same time, we will be assisting Ahmad and Oman Racing in the pursuit of their passion for competition, perfection and discipline. It is this very same passion that is the driving force behind our company’s performance, making us market leaders in the business domains we are active in.”

Enjoying another successful season in 2021, Al Harthy was a top four GT class finisher on his maiden campaign in the Asian Le Mans Series, a race winner on his return to British GT back in August and a podium finisher in the ‘Road to Le Mans’ in France. Earlier this month, in his second outing of the year in GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, he took a superb Pro-Am podium finish in Spain.

Of course, Aston Martin Vantage GT3 racer Al Harthy is a former two-time Pro-Am Champion in the prestigious GT World Challenge [formerly known as the Blancpain GT Series] and the first driver of Arab origin to win one of the coveted titles, as well as being a past Silver Cup Champion in British GT and Pro-Am1 Champion in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship.
