Survey of affected houses completed in 3 wilayats

Muscat: The field teams of the Ministry of Social Development have completed the survey of the affected houses from the tropical condition Shaheen in the wilayats of Al Musannah, Al Khaboura and Saham. The survey in the Wilayat of Al Suwaiq is expected to finish tomorrow with only 16 per cent is remaining.


Dr Abdulrahman bin Sulaiman al Shuhi, Director-General of Social Development in North and South Al Batinah governorates, said that the Ministry of Social Development has introduced a new compensatory mechanism for sorting out citizens’ affected houses, in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Department of Civil Status at Royal Oman Police.


The ministry’s field teams suggested putting off the reimbursement of subvention until the new mechanism has begun.
