Recovery rate reaches 97% in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Health on Tuesday announced that 397 new cases have recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 294,354.


This means the recovery rate in Oman increased to 97 per cent.


The Ministry also pointed out that 5 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 49 of them 21 are in intensive care units (ICUs).


Since the beginning of National Immunisation Campaign against Covid-19 in the Sultanate, 80 per cent of the total target population has been vaccinated with one dose till Sunday.


According to statistics issued by the Ministry of Health, a total of 2,810,262 people have been vaccinated during the period.


Figures from the ministry also showed that Oman has recorded zero deaths and 31 new infection cases due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. This is for the fourth consecutive day that the country has reported zero deaths.


The total number of cases has now reached 303,490, while the number of deaths reported so far stood at 4,093.
