Muscat: The Coast Guard Police boats of the North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested 16 infiltrators for attempting to inter the Sultanate illegally.
"The Coast Guard Police seized a boat carrying 16 Asian infiltrators off the coastline of North Al Batinah governorate while they were trying to enter the country illegally" said the Royal Oman Police (ROP)
Legal procedures are underway against the defendants.
ROP warns citizens and residents not to get involved in the smuggling of infiltrators or facilitate their entry to the country.
ROP also warns the public against sheltering or employing those who violate the Labour Law and the Residency Law.
