Dhofar Municipality hails public response

Salalah: The Municipal Council of the Governorate of Dhofar held a meeting on Thursday during which it discussed topics related to the improvement of municipal services in the governorate.


At the outset of the meeting, members of the council took the oath of office before Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar.


Sayyid Mohammed, who also heads the Municipal Council, valued the high level of cooperation between public service departments and citizens and residents. He commended the efforts exerted by public departments concerned and the dedication of citizens and residents to instructions and decisions issued by the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling developments resulting from coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.


The meeting looked into a number of recommendations about public utilities, including one pertaining to the setting up of a fishing jetty in the Wilayat of Rakhyout.


The meeting also discussed the restoration of roads in Tadbour and Tauq to help ease traffic for inhabitants of the area. — ONA
