The Ministry of Labour, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, organised a training programme for 119 graduates in the first field of pre-school and kindergarten.
The six-month programme aims to provide female candidates with a job in the fields of education, Islamic, Arabic language and social studies in accordance with the requirements of the grades 1-4.
Dr Intisar bint Abdullah Ambosaidi, Assistant Director-General, said the training is based on the directives to replace expatriate teachers with Omani cadre.
She said that the programme will provide the trainees with the necessary skills in Arabic language, Islamic and social studies. They will be trained to use various educational platforms, distance education and some other administrative aspects. The ministry seeks to absorb a number of Omanis looking for work in the teaching profession through on-the-job training.
