Oman reports 40 deaths, 1959 new cases

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) on Thursday reported 1,959 new cases and 40 deaths over the past 24 hours.


The total number of cases registered in the Sultanate has now reached 270,504, including 3,140 deaths.


163 patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of inpatients to 1,591 including 530 in intensive care units.


The total number of recoveries is 236,988 while the recovery rate is 87.6 percent.
