SalamAir launches flights to Sarajevo

SalamAir has announced direct flights from Muscat to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sarajevo is one of the world’s emerging tourist destinations with an East meets West modern culture and is also designated as a UNESCO Creative City.


With the launch of direct services to Sarajevo, SalamAir has introduced its fourth summer destination for 2021 giving its passengers from the Sultanate, apart from its three other summer destinations announced as Istanbul, Trabzon, and Shiraz.


The airline will initially operate once a week to Sarajevo on Monday, departing Muscat at 4:15 pm local time and arriving in Sarajevo at 8:25 pm local time. The flight will depart Sarajevo at 9:10 pm local time arriving in Muscat at 5:10 am local time. Return fares start from RO198.


Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir said: "With visa-free entry for Omani and other GCC nationals, plus with no quarantine requirements, I believe Sarajevo as our other three summer destinations Istanbul, Trabzon, and Shiraz are extremely appealing for travel."


SalamAir currently operates six new Airbus A320Neo aircraft making it the first Omani carrier to utilize that type of single-aisle aircraft. SalamAir SalamAir flies to domestic destinations including Muscat, Salalah, and international destinations to Dubai, Doha, Shiraz, Istanbul, Alexandria, Khartoum, Multan, Sialkot, Karachi, Dhaka, Chattogram, Calicut, Jaipur, Trivandrum, and Lucknow.
