CAA makes statement on flights from India

Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said that the flights the Sultanate and India are currently limited to facilitate the return of Omani citizens in addition to shipping the necessary supplies and to transfer citizens of India wishing to return to their country where these trips are subject to health requirements before travel and upon arrival.


Also, the Indian flight ( Air India Express) that arrived at Salalah Airport this afternoon coming from the Indian city of Kochi had only three passengers on board, the medical staff who have been exempted from the ban on arriving passengers from India.


The flight departed from Salalah airport an hour after its arrival with 100 passengers on board.


The Supreme Committee had banned arrivals from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh and passengers arriving from any other countries if they have passed through any of these 3 countries within 14 days prior to applying for entry to the Sultanate, from April 24, until further notice.
