Muhanna al Zaidi from Wilayat Dhank has constructed a suspension bridge measuring 40m long and 13m high. The lengths of wires used were one kilometer to ensure the solidity and cohesion of the bridge, which was built with high engineering standards. The total cost of the bridge was RO2,000.
Al-Zaidi said that the challenges faced by the project included the search for suitable materials, which took a long time, as stainless steel was used in the clamps used as the bridge's bearing reached 35 tonnes.
Zaidi stressed that his aim was only to gain the experience necessary to construct new bridges.
