

MUSCAT: The job vacancies announced by the Ministry of Labour on Sunday include 400 jobs for national job-seekers willing to join the educational sector.
Majid bin Said al Bahri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, said that the ministry has opened competition for graduates of various specializations, affirming that the widening of competition for these jobs does not cancellation of specialty which the ministry of education strives to achieve at the schools in particular and the educational sector in general.
The official added that the dates and mechanisms of the tests and the subsequent stages that precede the appointment in the ministry, will be announced later in coordination with the ministry of labour.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Labour announced the availability of 1,003 job opportunities for male and female job-seekers in the public sector and that the registration for these jobs will last for 8 days.
The ministry explained that the job opportunities target various specializations including finance, administration, economy, media, English language, humanities, law, designing and engineering.
The ministry stated that a number of job vacancies are allocated to the disabled including 19 jobs for bachelor’s holders and 3 jobs for holders of certificates above the general education diploma. — ONA
