MUSCAT: The Ministry of Education (MoE) announced that it is finalising the procedures for appointing 2,733 teachers for the academic year 2021-2022 from fresh graduates who have undergone written tests this year as well as the graduates from the previous years and whose names are in the waiting list. Of these 369 jobs have been secured through replacement of expat teachers.
The ministry affirmed that it has followed the applicable standard appointment procedures.
An official source at the ministry explained that the names of the newly-appointed teachers will be announced by June after completing the administrative procedures, noting that the number of appointees may rise during the upcoming period due to the replacement process and will stabilise through the outset of the next academic year. -- ONA
