Some people stay away from preparing Italian food at home because they are intimidated that it may take a long time and may become too complex for a family on the go. But not all pastas and recipes are created equal. In today’s Cook Like a Chef, we are proposing this HuQQa special — an easy to follow the recipe that will surely delight your family.

Ingredients

350g Spaghetti

20g Butter

40g Shrimp, peeled and deveined

30g Salmon

30g Squid

40g Black mussel

5g Salt

3g freshly ground black pepper

60ml Italian tomato pasta sauce

8g Cloves garlic, minced

6g Fresh basil

25g Dried mushroom

20g Cherry tomatoes

PREPARATION

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook spaghetti until ‘al-dente’ and drain.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add shrimp, mussels, salmon and squid and season with salt and pepper. Cook 2 minutes per side.

Then add garlic and cook until soft and fragrant for 3 minutes. Add cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and simmer for a further 3 minutes, add Italian tomato sauce and mix until combined.

Add cooked spaghetti and toss until fully coated.

Transfer it to a serving plate and garnish with basil and serve.
