Muscat: The Ministry of Health announced the first death of an Omani health worker (a nurse) due to Covid-19 on Friday.
"Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, officials, and all employees at MOH offered their sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, Shannuna al-Nu'maniyah after being infected with the Covid 19 virus," a statement said.
MOH added that earlier two expatriate health workers had died due to coronavirus.
