There are morals, values and lessons of a lifetime that are associated with Ramadhan. The bygone 30 days and nights of the month have been a period of trials and tests towards reaching the mercy and blessings of the Almighty Allah and one needs to uphold these values that we learnt during these days and continue doing good work for the benefit of mankind irrespective of any differences, as Islam stands for equality.

“The holy month is coming to a close and it’s time to retrospect and reflect the morals that we acquired during the month for the rest of our lifetime,” says Shaikh Ismail Menk, Mufti of Zimbabwe.

He urges all believers to draw even closer to the Almighty through the rest of one’s life on the Earth as the holy month is about to bid adieu to the believers, and as the last and final phase of Ramadhan is stepping down from our lives.

“Continue doing the good work that we have been doing, keep extending our hands towards the needy and keep controlling our tongue as we acquired during the month of immense divinity which is passing by.”

Hatim Abdissalam, a religious scholar, who has been delivering scholastic speeches through Al Istiqama TV, calls on us to make use of the soft skills such as an attitude of goodness, charity, speaking no evil and seeing or doing no evil, growing positivity within and reaping positivity from others, helping others, being kind and generous and doing all for pleasing Almighty Allah throughout the rest of the year.

“We are not sure if we all will be lucky enough to see another holy month next year in our lives, hence one should make the most of the interpersonal skills, soft skills and values that we learnt from the 30 days and nights of the holy month. We should imagine ourselves a slave on duty and work without taking a break to make the most of the remaining day or days of the month”, he adds.
