Workshop on safe air-conditioning

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs organised a training workshop on the right practices for maintaining and servicing of air-conditioning systems at the Ministry of Manpower Vocational Training Centre in Seeb. The workshop is aimed at raising the awareness of technicians about the best and the safest practices that should be applied to both conventional alternative air-conditioners. By the end of the course, the participants are expected to learn ways to install, service and repair air-conditioners. The workshop is held as part of the implementation of the national plan to gradually scrap substances that are responsible for ozone depletion, a plan that has been in place since 2012 in cooperation with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).
