Muscat: The Technical Committee for Sultan Qaboos Award for Voluntary Work held its first meeting this year at the Ministry of Social Development headquarters. The meeting, presided over by Dr Mohammed bin Ali al Saadi, Director-General of the Social Care at the Ministry of Social Development, reviewed the activities associated with the award. It also reviewed the new nomination and assessment forms for the various categories of the award. It discussed also preparing a manual on the award and introducing e-nomination through the ministry’s website. The meeting also discussed the importance of involving the non-governmental and professional organisations and schools in nomination for the award. — ONA
