MUSCAT: The Ministry of Civil Service, in cooperation with the Omani-Qatari Telecommunications Company (Ooredoo), on Tuesday celebrated the conclusion of the programme “Starting Point — Springboard” and the graduation of 95 apprentices of female employees at the public sector representing the 4th batch of the programme during a ceremony held under the patronage of Shaikh Saad bin Mohammed Al Mardhouf al Saadi, Minister of Sports Affairs. The ceremony awarded the best three complete projects, which aim to empower the Omani women.
Shaikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service, said on the sidelines of the concluding ceremony of the programme Starting Point that the programme is a real translation of a fruitful partnership between the public and private sectors in the implementation of such quality programmes, thanking those in-charge of implementing the programme who have worked to ensure its continuity to achieve the targeted goals. The programme seeks to empower Omani women through the provision of intensive training courses on basic management skills, communication, self-empowerment, rhetoric, and others. — ONA
