Special Olympics Oman holds Open Day

MUSCAT: Special Olympics Oman organised an open day at the Qurum Natural Park in an effort to integrate people with intellectual disabilities into society.


Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, President of Special Olympics Oman, stressed the importance of integrating people with intellectual disabilities.


He said that organising an open day in the Qurum Natural Park for this group and their families with the participation of community members is of great importance for raising awareness about the abilities of persons with intellectual disabilities.


The events witnessed the participation of families and children who have been keen to participate in support of people with intellectual disabilities and to raise awareness about their abilities and the importance of empowering them in society. The open day included a number of entertainment elements and intellectual games, as well as theatre activities. — ONA
