Sayyid Haitham receives director of ICCROM

His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tareq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, received in his office on Thursday Dr Zaki Aslan, Director of the Unesco International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM). The meeting was part of a project to rehabilitate the house of Sayyid Nadir bin Faisal al Said and the house of Sayyida Muzneh bint Nadir al Said, which is being operated by the National Museum. The two houses, after the restoration, will become an integrated cultural centre, celebrating the history of Al Busaid, Family and the historic City of Muscat. The meeting was attended by Hassan bin Mohammed al Lawati, Minister’s Adviser for Heritage Affairs, and Jamal bin Hassan al Mousawi, Director General of the National Museum. — ONA
