MUSCAT: Mwasalat said that it set a record for ferrying the maximum number of passengers on a day. The company carried 28,000 passengers on the second day of Eid al Adha. The total number of passengers ferried during the Eid holidays from August 17 to 25 was 187,964. It may be noted that the company ferried over 84,000 passengers during Eid al Fitr holidays, with the record for a single day was 25,000. The company said that there has been a noticeable increase in the use of its buses for public transport, especially citizens, due to the intensive role played by Mwasalat in developing the efficiency of all services provided. It also urges all people, especially citizens, to use public transport because of its economic, social and environmental benefits to the individual and society. Mwasalat had recently launched Route 9 (Athaiba-Ansab-Masfah Industrial Area) as part of the company’s efforts to expand the public transport network in Muscat Governorate.
