Real estate traded contracts value hits RO 727m in Q1

MUSCAT: The value of traded contracts during the first quarter of 2017 stood at RO 727,378,000 while the collected fees amounted to RO 23,024,000 according to the report released by the Ministry of Housing. The total value of sale contracts stood at RO 311,166,517 through 16,157 sale transactions at the level of the Sultanate’s governorates. The total value of the mortgage contracts stood at RO 410,743,685 through 5,503 sale transactions while the total value of the exchange contracts during the same period stood at RO 5,468,292 through 250 transactions, besides issuing 63,301 title deeds during the same period.


The Governorate of Muscat recorded the highest number in terms of the value of traded contracts compared to other governorates during the first quarter in 2017 that amounted to RO 371,383,362 followed by the Governorate of North Al Batinah with RO 87,895,499, the Governorate of South Al Batinah with RO 75,553,534 and the Governorate of Dhofar with RO 59,876,537 while the total traded value in the Governorate of Musandam stood at RO 2,946,602, the Governorate of Al Buraimi with RO 12,042,000 and the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah with RO 49,126,144.


The total traded value of contracts in the Governorate of North Al Sharqiyah amounted to RO 21,369,272 and the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah stood at RO 19,994,270 whereas the Governorate of Al Dhahirah RO 20,911,680 and the total traded value in the Governorate of Al Wusta amounted to 6,279,488. — ONA
