Heavy to moderate rains lashed a number of wilayats in the Sultanate causing wadis to overflow on Thursday. The wilayats of Rustaq, Izki, Nizwa, Suhar received rains with strong wind. Some schools in Rustaq were damaged in the rains and strong winds. The latest satellite images show chances of sporadic rains over Al Hajar Mountains. The Royal Oman Police advised people to avoid crossing wadis and motorists to drive carefully.
