PEIE concludes promotional campaign

CHENNAI: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) concluded yesterday its extensive promotional campaign in India as a delegation from PEIE visited India chaired by Hilal bin Hamad al Hasani, Chief Executive Officer of PEIE.


A seminar was held in Chennai entitled ‘Investment in Industrial Estates in the Sultanate’, which was organised in cooperation with South India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI).The vision and mission of PEIE, and the available investment opportunities in various sectors were underscored at the seminar in the presence of significant businessmen and investors who are interested to invest in Oman.


A film was screened at the event highlighting PEIE as a part of an integrated investment system in Oman that aims at diversifying economic models that are compatible with the business requirements of the local and foreign investors. The film elaborated the institutional objectives enjoyed by PEIE, through exploring the capabilities and contribution of the employees, enabling them to act in line with their educational qualifications and professional skills, helping companies achieve success and competitiveness in global markets, and marking the Sultanate as a dynamic commercial destination owing to its natural, cultural and human resources.


The film also stressed the importance of creating job opportunities for the nationals, developing industrial estates, providing equipped high-tech spaces that meet the business requirements, in addition to preserving an attractive investment climate.


Additionally, the officials noted that PEIE offers a lineup of value adding initiatives for business owners and investors in the industrial estates.


PEIE delegates attended several meetings during their visit to Chennai, which included a meeting with the chairman of Archean Group to explore investments into Oman in mining, as well as chemicals projects, and a meeting with members of United Economic Forum - Chamber of Commerce.


The delegation also visited Mahindra World City, which is recognised as India’s first operational special economic zone and first integrated business city in public private partnership. — ONA
