By Vinod Nair — MUSCAT: March 14 – The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said that it has been brought to its notice about the unverified weather information released through unlicensed personal weather radars. PACA said the data received acquired from such devices can vary in accuracy and could be exploited for vested purposes. The authority urged the owners of these devices to register the product within 60 days at its offices in Muscat and Salalah from the publication of its statement. PACA will take necessary appropriate legal actions at the expiry of this deadline. It added that the authority is competent enough to provide accurate meteorological services, early warning alerts as per the laws and ensure that the data released is accurate and reliable.
