The much-awaited Hawana Aqua Park, the first of its kind in the Sultanate, will open in Salalah on January 10, 2018. Besides being a great tourist attraction, the park is a “real New Year gift” for the city’s residents. Developed by Muriya, the opening ceremony of Hawana Aqua Park is likely to be a high-profile event to be attended by dignitaries and high-ranking officials. It will also be attended by senior management and board members of Muriya, besides shareholders, Orascom Development Holding and Omran. This is Oman’s first water park with world-class standards with a capacity to accommodate 500 visitors a day. Spread over 65,000 square metres, it is equipped with thrilling water slides, a toddlers’ pool, sliding swimming pools, wave pools, a main tower and a food court.

It also has a large parking area for guests. Hawana Aqua Park is a great value addition to a variety of attractions and freehold accommodation facilities developed by Muriya. It has been developed following extensive research to identify touristic attractions that help strengthen Salalah’s position as a fast-growing prime touristic destination. “In addition to its role in growing Salalah’s touristic appeal, the project will be a great attraction for Dhofari families. We are looking forward to launching the Hawana Aqua Park along with the new range of hotel expansions that are currently under way to further accommodate the Governorate of Dhofar’s growing number of visitors,” said a senior Muriya official.
