MUSCAT: The Omani Students’ Society in Malaysia recently organised a workshop at the Cultural Attaché Office in Kuala Lumpur. Titled ‘Women’s Economic Empowerment’ the workshop targeted Omani students in Malaysia and their families. The workshop highlighted the importance of upgrading the level of Muslim women all over the world in the economic, scientific and health fields. The workshop also enabled women to fulfil their duties towards their families and societies and to become a productive individual capable of overcoming challenges such as undertaking their roles as mothers and homemakers as well the other challenges that arise from the social conditions, traditions and the requirements of the labour market.
