MoU to extend support to disabled

By Amal Al Riyami — NIZWA: May 29 - A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the Ministry of Social Development and Al Haditha Petroleum Services on Monday for serving the community. The MoU, a tie-up between the government and the private sector, was signed at the General Directorate of Social Development in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. As per the agreement, a part of social responsibility of private sectors, Al Haditha Petroleum Services will purchase prosthetic devices for persons with disabilities.


The MoU was signed by Dr Rashid bin Sulaiman al Mandhari, Director-General of Social Development in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and Mohammed bin Rashid al Dari, Deputy General Manager of the company. Saif bin Mohammed al Shukaili, Director of Social Development Department in Adam, said: “We are always pleased to find support from the private sector for helping the community. “Al Haditha Petroleum Services has provided various equipment such as wheelchairs, medical beds, among others.”
