KO invited to speak on Social Entrepreneurship

MUSCAT: Knowledge Oman (KO), the leading community knowledge-sharing initiative, has been invited by Al Sharqiyah University to deliver a workshop on Social Entrepreneurship on April 25 as part of developing and supporting the academia with practical knowledge on developing social businesses.


The purpose of the workshop is to shed the light on the topic of Social Entrepreneurship and how to become a social entrepreneur.


It is believed due to the current economic situation there is a bright side of having opportunities to boost the push towards enhancing and developing the communities creatively.


Omar al Bahri (pictured), team leader and an expert in business consulting from Knowledge Oman, has been selected to deliver the workshop. Commenting on the invitation, Omar said: “We are delighted to have received this invitation from Al Sharqiyah University to discuss Social Entrepreneurship and the opportunities that can be seized towards enhancing and developing the communities. We look forward to participate, share our experience and knowledge to further build more social entrepreneurs in the country.”


Knowledge Oman is an example by itself regarding social enterprises, where it was incorporated voluntarily with the goal of contributing towards the knowledge-based economy of Oman and further make positive impacts in the community. Since inception, Knowledge Oman grew from being a simple idea towards having a full team earning local and global recognition for various events.
