Oman Meteorology has said that the sultanate will be affected by a trough of low pressure from Friday evening (December 15) until Monday (December 18).
Isolated rains, occasional thundershowers accompanied with fresh wind and hail are expected over Mussandam, Batinah (north and south), Dahira, Buraimi, Dhakilya, Sharqiyah (north and south). Chances of cloud formation and isolated rains also over Dhofar and Al Wusta.
Sea state expected to be moderate to rough along the coastal areas of Mussandam and Sea of Oman with maximum wave height ranging between 2 and 3 meters.
Motorists and fishermen have been urged to follow weather updates and people have told to be careful while crossing wadis during this period.
Clear to partly cloudy skies over most of the Sultanate with chances of late night to early
morning low level cloud over governorate of al-Wusta and along the coastal areas, the met department said for Wednesday.
