Iran's Kish Airlines resumes Muscat flights

The Iran-based, Kish Airlines, has resumed its flights to Oman from February 28, a step that will boost economic and tourism relations between Iran and Oman,' reported the IRNA news agency.


Ali-Reza Qaedian, managing director of Kish free zone and head of managing board of Kish Air,  the airline will have round-trip flights to Muscat every Saturdays and Wednesday.


The decision is aimed at facilitating visits by tourists and businessperson to Iran, the official was quoted by IRNA.


Noting that foreigners do not need visa for entering Kish Island, he expressed hope that resuming flights to Muscat will provide good opportunity for expanding economic cooperation and lay a ground for increasing the number of Omani tourists to Iran.


Onboard of today's flight from Kish Island to Muscat were 25 businessperson from the Island. They met with Iran's ambassador to Muscat as well as head of Oman's Chamber of Commerce.
