HM gets Arab rights award

MUSCAT: The Oslo-based Arab-European Centre of Human Rights and International Law (AECHRIL) conferred Arab Man International Award 2016 on His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, in recognition of His Majesty the Sultan’s great efforts and noble contributions in the field of enhancing and promoting human rights at the local, Arab and international levels. His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tareq al Said received the award when he received at his office on Monday Dr Aihan Jaf, AECHRIL’s Secretary-General. It should be noted that AECHRIL was established in 2006 in Norway as an initiative from those with experiences in human rights issues. AECHRIL is a non-governmental and non-profitable organisation with interest in defending and urging for compliance with natural, religious and legal human rights at the Middle East and Arab societies. — ONA
