Heavy rains forecast for next 24 hours, RO500 for crossing wadis

Oman Meteorology has warned of heavy rainfall during the next 24 hours with possible thunderstorms, which may exceed 40 millimeters, accompanied by active winds and lower temperatures. Wadis may be flowing within the next 24 hours and motorists have been urged to be cautious.


The provinces to be covered by the rains include the governorates of Muscat, Musandam, North Batinah, South Batinah, the North and South Sharqiyah and Buraimi


Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution said that intentionally crossing the wadis and endangering the one's life and that of the fellow passengers is a crime punishable by imprisonment for three months and a fine of RO500.
