GUtech begin with win in 8-a-side soccer

MUSCAT: The GUtech staff team started successfully in the SQU organised 8-a-side football tournament for companies, ministries and private institutions. With a 3-1 win against Majan College the team kicked-off in the group qualifier on December 26 at SQU.
In the fourth minute, after the assist of Khalifa al Hashami, Sami al Busafi, the only GUtech striker, put GUtech to a 1-0 lead. The game was balanced, but Majan College equalised through a distance shot in the sixth minute. GUtech team was fighting second for second and finally, in the ninth minute of the first half, Sami al Busafi could break through Majan College´s defence through a single action and brought GUtech for the second time to a lead, 2-1.
During the next minutes, until the first half break, a lot of actions came from Majan College and at the same time also from GUtech. The game was continuously back and forth.
