Franziska and Christoph, who arrived in Oman three weeks ago, have visited both the Muscat Festival venues. “Naseem Park was big and the commercial souq was bigger. At the Al Amerat Park, the Heritage Village is big. We bought dry lemon and other spices,” said Christoph while buying Omani halwa.
They rented a car and toured around Oman, visiting Sur, Ashqara, Ibri, Sinaw, Suhar and Izki. “We camped at Al Kamil and it was an amazing experience. The coastal drive from Muscat to the East was beautiful,” said Franziska. The corner for frankincense, bakhoor, traditional body butters and oil, was one of the top attractions.
Mona al Jaggery brought in something extra this time. “I have bought a collection of soaps as they make great gifts, especially alphabetic soaps, that carry the name of the person you want to gift to.”
