Muscat, Sept 25 – A student company has found a novel solution for finding housemaids. Saif al Jabri, the CEO of Guven, said the company has launched its first application, ‘Amala’, through which it aims to help people find housemaids.
Guven, a company from Sultan Qaboos University, is participating in ‘Al Sharikah’ competition organised by Injaz Oman 2017. It specialises in smartphone services and applications.
The app, which includes most of the labour recruiting offices in Oman, acts as a link between these offices and the user.
Amala simplifies the search for a housemaid by helping users view a list of workers in each labour recruiting office along with other information, including their home country, age, experience, photographs and other relevant information.
It also enables users to pre-book a housemaid through the app.
The app is available for free download on Google Playstore. In the coming months, it will be available for all smartphones.
It has been backed by the Ministry of Manpower. The company has participated in several exhibitions for introducing its app.
