Comex expo from tomorrow

MUSCAT: The 28th version of the IT, Telecom and Technology Exhibition and Conference (Comex 2018) begins at Oman Conventions and Exhibitions Centre tomorrow, April 23, under the auspices of Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health.


The event, organised by Oman International Trade and Exhibition Company (OITE) will focus on a number of IT&C based sectors, such as manufacturing, transport, logistic services, oil and gas, tourism, healthcare, education, in addition to the company solutions related to virtual reality, smart cities, cyber security, 3D printing, big data, cloud computing and industrial intelligence.


The expo includes a number of pavilions, such as the pavilion for e-Oman and the pavilion for business at which a number of IT&C leaders will review the latest trends and technologies in the private sector and the marketing pavilion, which reviews the most advanced technologies, tools and products of interest for the consumers and visitors.


The companies taking part at the exhibition seek to promote its electronic services and introduce the key programmes and projects promoted by them in a number of fields, such as innovation, entrepreneurship and cybersecurity. Comex will also include a number of specialised IT&C seminars.


The associated two-day conference of the exhibition will cover a number of areas related to Internet of things and industrial intelligence in a number of fields. It will also include specialised session on smart cities and Internet of things.


More than 18 public organisations from inside and outside the Sultanate, in addition to public and private organisations from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait and the State of Qatar will take part in the Comex. — ONA
