London: British Airways cabin crew are set to stage a two-week strike in July as part of a long-running pay dispute with the airline. The Unite union announced on Friday that so-called “mixed fleet” crew members would walk out from July 1 to 16 following the latest breakdown in pay talks with the company.
“The refusal by British Airways bosses to meaningfully consider our compromise offer is deeply disappointing,” the union said. The pay negotiations concern some 4,500 employees who have been hired since 2010. British Airways has been hit by 26 days of strikes this year.
