MUSCAT: Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak al Araimi, Director General, Editor-in-Chief of Oman News Agency (ONA) received at the ONA premises on Monday Yang Yuan Yong, Regional Director at the Chinese News Agency (Xinhua), who is currently visiting the Sultanate.
The two sides discussed means of enhancing cooperation in the field of media services exchange and promoting cooperation between ONA and Xinhua, as well as opening new avenues of cooperation in the field of republishing news, reports and photos of the two countries in the two news agencies, particularly in light of the economic agreements that were recently signed between the two friendly countries.
The Chinese guest expressed that he is looking forward to increase this cooperation, visits and expertise, in addition to benefiting from the available training fields in the two agencies.
On his turn, Dr Al Araimi expressed the ONA preparedness to collaborate on various media areas. The meeting was attended by Qais bin Ibrahim al Farsi, ONA Deputy Editor in Chief, Xinhua Correspondent in Muscat. — ONA
