Blood donors to be honoured

Those who have donated blood to the needy through Bausher Blood Bank will be honoured at a social gathering on March 2 at Al Falaj Hotel, according to the organisers of the event.
At a cultural event organised by the Muscat Unique Diamond Entertainment titled “Muscat Mega Mix,” these good samaritans will be called to receive recognitions from a well-known Omani personality, the organisers further said.
“The main purpose of organising this event is to felicitate blood donors, who had donated blood more number of times at Bausher Blood Bank in Oman”, Ramdas Chandaka, founder president of Chiru Mega Youth Force Muscat (CMYF), said.
“A cultural programme featuring multi-talented actors, artists and singers from Telugu film industry, will also be staged on the occasion.”
The event, which is expected to draw a large section of the Telugu community in Oman, is designed to entertain the community and will be telecast live on a Telugu TV channel in India.
Telugu film actor Sai Dharmatej (pictured) will be the chief guest at the function, to be attended by popular singers Mallikarjun, Gopika Poornima and Anjana Sowmya. Ravanam Swaminaidu, All India Chiranjeevi Yuvatha founder-president, will also be present on the occasion.
Mallikarjun and Gopika will be enthralling the audience with popular numbers from Telugu films.
The evening will also see many Telugu actors from films and Television, entertaining the crowd. The entire programme will be anchored by Lasya.
CMYF is a non-profit organisation involved in conducting many humanitarian activities in the Sultanate, and has been rendering selfless social services since its formation. The motto of the organisation is individual social responsibility and serving with the intention to contribute something to the society. The Ministry of Health has honoured CMYF in recognition of its efforts in organising blood donation camps for the past several years.
