Best performing Omani companies for 2017 honoured

MUSCAT: Alamaliktisaad magazine celebrated the honouring of the best Omani companies and personalities during the fiscal year 2017 in the light of the results of the annual survey carried out by the magazine, specialised in economic affairs. The ceremony was patronised by Dr Rasheed bin al Safi al Huraibi, Chairman of the Tender Board. During the ceremony, 15 of the 65 companies included in the survey were honoured, divided into three sectors: the large capital companies sector, the medium capital companies and the small capital companies.


In the first sector (large capital companies sector), National Life and General Insurance Company, BankMuscat, Sohar Bank, Oman Refreshments, Ahli Bank and Oman Finance were honoured.


In the second sector (medium capital companies) al Ahlia Insurance, Taajeer Finance, National Finance, A’Saffa Food and United Insurance Company were honoured.


In the small capital company’s sector, Oman-Qatar Insurance Company, Vision Insurance, Majan College, Takaful Oman and Oman Chromite were honoured.


During the ceremony, a number of prominent personalities and companies were honoured in the special awards category in support of the efforts exerted on many levels and many initiatives.


The CEO of the National Life and General Insurance Company won the CEO award, Takatuf Oman won Excellence award in national capacity building, Prime Business Solutions won Excellence award in innovation and enterprise resource planning.


Maqbool al Wahaibi, Chief Executive Officer, Oman Data Park, received the Technical Personality of the Year award, Voltamp Transformers Oman won the Export Excellence Award.


Fahd al Ismaili, Founder and CEO, Tibian Real Estate, received the Real Estate Development Award, and Small and Medium Enterprises Development won the excellence award in the development of small and medium enterprises.


Abdul Ameer al Ajmi, Director of External Affairs and Value Creation at PDO, received the Inspired Leadership Award for Local Value Added.


Oman Airports Company received the award for the most prestigious brand launch campaign and Hussein bin Hassan al Abdul Hussein, CEO of Haya Water won Most Distinguished Corporate Leadership, Shell Oman Marketing Company won the excellence award in innovation and technology. — ONA
