Dhaka: Bangladesh's voters went to polling stations, which was opened today to select 300 deputies from more than 1,800 candidates in a new parliamentary election.
The electoral authorities have established 40,199 polling stations, with 104.1 million registered voters in Bangladesh.
Army and naval personnel were deployed to assist the Civil Administration in maintaining order during the election campaign and the voting process, and also after the elections.
The results will be announced tomorrow Monday, according to election officials. --ONA
