Alargan Towell Investment Company was founded in 2003 in the Sultanate of Oman as a result of the strategic alliance between Alargan International Real Estate Company and the reputed WJ Towell. Alargan Towell activities focus on the delivery of quality yet affordable housing opportunities for Omanis in the middle-income bracket. This innovative partnership led to the construction of a number of successful and integrated projects, such as Beyout Al Faye, the Al Waha project, the Al Mawalih Villa’s project, the Al Hail homes project and the Al Qurum Gardens project. Additionally, the Company is currently in the preparation stages for the Al Nakheel mega development project, which is expected to be the first Integrated Tourism Complex (ITC) project in the Wilayat of Barka.

In 2016, Alargan Towell Investment announced the completion of the residential units of phase one of Al Waha project, which one of the newest integrated projects located in Barka. By the end of December 2016, more than 83 per cent of the first phase has been sold out. The company also launched the second phase of Al Waha project, and at the same event, the company also revealed a unique offer for potential buyers. The Alargan board also announced the appointment of a new CEO in April 2016. During 2016, the company enhanced its CSR initiatives, and its aiming to play significant roles in the coming years. By the end of 2016, Alargan won ‘The Affordable Housing Project of the year 2016’, from Oman Real Estate Association. The award was given to Alargan for the Al Waha project in Barka.

In Q2 2016, The Board of Directors of Alargan Towell Investment Company announced the appointment of Hisham Moussa in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer. The new CEO has over 28 years of professional experience and leads the operations of the Company to achieve its overall goal of creating communities that impact and elevate the real estate landscape in Oman, a sector which has witnessed great growth in recent years. Hisham comes with extensive experience in the real estate development, construction and tourism sectors. He plays a pivotal role in translating the vision and strategy of Alargan Towell into a reality for Oman, in line with the direction of the Company to develop integrated residential and tourism projects in Oman.

In 2016, Alargan Towell complemented its efforts towards social responsibility in the local community. The company had a number of initiatives within its CSR framework. Alargan has pledged financial support to 70 students of the Thabit bin Qais School for boys and the Al Amal Girls School in the Wilayat of Barka. The Company has also sponsored a ceremony to honour students from the Al Amal Girls School for their exemplary performance in academics. In Ramadhan Alargan Towell extended its support to Dar al Atta’a for Ramadhan ration packs to families in need. Additionally, the company organised an exhibition for home based business operators to market their products in cooperation with the Omani Women’s Association.
The event was held at Beyout Al Faye located in Al Khoudh, and witnessed a large turnout. The residents of Beyout Al Faye and visitors enjoyed a day of fun filled family entertainment while browsing the huge array of crafts, art, clothing and traditional Omani foods on sale. Meanwhile, Alargan also supported a collective wedding ceremony in Wilayat of Barka for more than 18 Omani couples, by providing a financial support to the organising committee.
Sharing the joy of the ceremony, representatives from Alargan were also on hand to present gifts to the bridegrooms. On the occasion of Eid al Adha, a team from the company visited children with cancer at Royal Hospital. The visit aimed to share the joyous moments of Eid with the patient children, and distributing gifts to the children. In 2017, the company will continue its CSR initiatives and enhance its communication with the society, in addition to sharing its experience in serving and developing real estate sector in Oman.
