The 9th version of Omani Honey Market opened its doors at Muscat Grand Mall (MGM) on Thursday under the auspices of Dr Ahmed bin Nasser al Bakri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.

30 honey breeders from the different parts of the Sultanate, in addition to two companies specialised in honey breeding supplies, take part in the market which will continue up to December 31.

The market, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, aims at promoting the Omani products and providing platforms for communication among honey producers and consumers.

The ministry also seeks to subsidise SMEs operating in honey breeding and production by helping them marketing and finding outlet for their products.

The exhibition includes a corner for the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries which raise awareness of the efforts made by the ministry to develop, breed and reproduce honey bees.

It has also corners for honey bees and honey farmer supplies, in addition to wide range of Omani honey products. — ONA
