MUSCAT: The Experts Team for Implementing United Nations Convention Against Corruption on Sunday met at the HQs of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution (SFAAI) under the chairmanship of Shaikh Nasser bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of SFAAI to discuss the preparations for the second session to review the Sultanate’s implementation of the Convention. The meeting is part of the efforts made by SFAAI to implement the United Nations Convention against Corruption. Al Maawali reviewed the progress made in implementing the convention as he pointed out that the draft national strategy for the protection of fairness and combatting corruption has been completed and raised to the Council of Ministers. On the other hand, the experts reviewed the self-evaluation, which reviews the Sultanate’s implementation of the Conventions’ second chapter related to preventive measures and fifth chapter related to asset recovery. — ONA
